The Coastcare Working Bees generally go for 2 to 3 hours and are made up of local people who enjoy spending time together and weeding, planting and generally caring for the local coastal environment. The Association has a fully operational nursery where the propagation from locally collected seeds occurs. There is no formal commitment to become a Coastcare Volunteer - no minimum days or hours - just turn up when you can! Central Coast Council provides basic training in coast care principles. Safety equipment is also proivided. It's a great way to spend a couple of hours and a good way to increase your circle of friends.
